Important Customer Information

Health and Safety

On Monday the 29th of June Edinburgh Fabrics will reopen and the following safety measures have been put in place to keep customers and staff safe from the spread of the COVID-19 virus.


Social Distancing

We will be limiting the number of customers allowed in the store to 3 at a time. This also includes customers collecting online orders. Once 3 people are in the store a one in one out queuing system will be in operation. A one-way system around the store has been put in place and is marked on the floor with safety distance tape. Customers and staff will be expected to keep 2 metres apart where possible.


Cleaning and Hand Sanitiser

To maintain hygiene standards we will be cleaning frequently and providing hand sanitiser for staff and customers to use.


Face Coverings and Gloves

We would encourage customers to wear a face-covering where possible when in the store. We will be providing hand sanitiser on entering the store and would encourage customers to use this rather than wearing gloves.


Sales Point Safety

We have fitted Perspex screens at our tills and for contactless payment, the limit has now increased from £30 up to £45.


Health and Wellbeing

If you feel unwell, have a temperature, or a continuous cough, as per government guidelines we would kindly request that you self isolate and STAY HOME.


Changes to our Services

Online Ordering

Our online ordering system, established during the lockdown period, will still be available now the store is open. Collection at the store and postal service for online orders will still be available but we will no longer be providing the same day or next day local delivery service.


Email Ordering

When looking to place an order we would please ask that you use our online ordering service. If you cannot find some items you are looking for on the online ordering system please leave us a note at checkout and we will be happy to check for and add any additional items when we contact you. We established our online ordering system during the lockdown period and are in the process of adding new products on a regular basis.


Email or Chat/Messenger Communication

For email or chat/messenger communication please allow a 24 hour period for us to reply. Now our store is open again we may not be able to respond as quickly as we did during the lockdown period.


Instore Browsing

We would encourage customers to come prepared with an idea of the products you are looking for in order to keep waiting times and queues to a minimum.


Opening Hours

  • Monday to Saturday - 10am to 6pm
  • Sunday - 1pm - 6pm


We are sorry to have so many guidelines in place for customers to follow but we do feel this is necessary to keep both customers and staff safe. As a family-run business, we require all of our family to remain healthy to prevent any further closure of our store. We understand if you feel that the guidelines above prevent you from visiting our store at the current time and we will always be happy to post any orders out to customers.
